Aliens and monsters terrify Londoners at a New Oxford Street bus stop
(Level: Intermediate to Upper-Intermediate / B1 to B2 / ** to ***)

You are going to watch part of a BBC programme dealing with Augmented Reality (AR) which graphic designers used to create very special effects as part of a very elaborate advertising campaign.

Before watching

Before watching the BBC clip, here is a YouTube video showing what it is like for the passengers to wait at that bus stop.

Here are now a few words that could be useful:
an uprising: a revolt
to line up with...: to be brought into alignment with...   s'aligner avec...
the visuals: footage, film or other display material           animations visuelles
dusk: period of partial darkness between day and night; twilight      le crépuscule
painstaking: extremely careful (while working for instance)          consciencieux; minutieux
savvy: well informed and perceptive      perspicace; averti; connaisseur

While watching

Watch now the BBC report and answer the following question in French:

Explain in your own words what (you think) Augmented Reality is.

You can also find the video on the BBC site by clicking HERE.

When you are finished, you can check your answer.
